Several younglings are training at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant under the instruction of Jedi Master Minas Velti when several clone troopers burst into the chamber and open fire on them. Velti cuts down several of the attackers and leads the younglings down a corridor, fighting more clones. Eventually, she succumbs to a blaster wound, and the younglings decide to flee.
Ten years after the fall of the Jedi Order, Obi‑Wan Kenobi lives in self‑imposed exile on Tatooine, watching over young Luke Skywalker from afar while drowning in guilt over Anakin’s fate. The galaxy has fallen under Imperial rule, and the Inquisitors scour the Outer Rim for surviving Jedi. Among them is Reva, a fierce and unstable hunter whose obsession with finding Kenobi hints at a deeper, unspoken wound.
When Princess Leia Organa is kidnapped by mercenaries working under Reva’s influence, her adoptive father Bail Organa begs Obi‑Wan to rescue her. Reluctantly, he leaves hiding and ventures back into a galaxy he no longer recognizes. His mission draws the attention of Darth Vader, who senses his former master’s presence for the first time in a decade.
After getting location given by a con artist Haja Estree, Obi‑Wan rescues Leia, but the pursuit intensifies. As they flee across the galaxy, Obi‑Wan confronts the truth of what Anakin has become. Vader’s wrath culminates in a brutal encounter that leaves Obi‑Wan shaken and exposed, forcing him to rely on unlikely allies — including Tala, Roken, and the underground network known as The Path. These allies embody the flickering resistance against the Empire, reminding Obi‑Wan that hope still survives even in the darkest corners.
Meanwhile, Reva’s true motivation is revealed: she was a youngling who survived Anakin’s massacre during Order 66. Her hatred is aimed not only at Kenobi, but at Vader himself. In a desperate attempt to strike him down, she confronts Vader — but her plan fails. Mortally wounded, Reva uses her final moments to help Obi‑Wan and the refugees escape, choosing at last to break the cycle of violence that shaped her life. Her sacrifice reframes her arc as tragic redemption, closing her story with dignity and emotional weight.
With Reva gone and the Path in danger, Obi‑Wan lures Vader away to protect the fleeing innocents. Their final duel becomes a reckoning — Obi‑Wan accepts that Anakin is truly gone, while Vader vows their conflict is far from over. The battle is not just physical but spiritual, as Obi‑Wan rediscovers his strength and clarity, reclaiming the mantle of Jedi protector.
Renewed by this clarity, Obi‑Wan returns Leia safely to Alderaan, restoring her faith in the galaxy’s hidden goodness. Their farewell is tender, a promise that even in shadow, light endures.
Back on Tatooine, Obi‑Wan approaches the Lars homestead with a lighter heart. He meets young Luke for the first time with genuine warmth, sensing a new beginning. As he rides into the desert, the spirit of Qui‑Gon Jinn appears, guiding him toward the next chapter of his destiny — a mentor once more, but now with hope restored.
