Rafiki

Rafiki is a fictional character from Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He is an African mandrill who serves as the royal mjuzi (adviser) of the Pride Lands since the reign of Ahadi, Mufasa's father. Rafiki presents Simba, the prince heir of Pride Rock to the Pride Lands when he is an infant. Later, Scar usurped the throne due to Mufasa's and Simba's deaths, much to Rafiki's dismay. Years into Scar's tyranny, Rafiki picks up Simba's scent on the wind and, realizing he is alive, leaves to retrieve him. He convinces Simba to return and reclaim his birthright as king before eventually returning to the Pride Lands himself to aid Simba in overthrowing Scar. After Scar's death and Simba's ascension, Rafiki presents Simba and Nala's newborn cub to the Pride Lands.
