Jake Thompson, also known as HypeVolt and J-23 is the biggest celebrity of Earth-23, the owner of the Hype-Unlimited corporation and a hero fighting for the audience.
Physical appearance
HypeVolt is shorter, with a “spoiled but stylish” look. He has glossy black hair, styled with lots of gel, and always wears hi-tech sunglasses that display his real-time tracking number.
His superhero suit is bright electric blue with gold and neon accents. On the chest, instead of the classic symbol, it has a holographic logo that changes color. He wears sneakers that leave traces of gold sparks
Personality
HypeVolt is extremely arrogant, exuberant, and obsessed with his image. To him, fighting villains is "fan content." He calls his attacks pompous, commercial names and has a bad habit of stopping in the middle of battle to take a selfie with the enemy on the ground. Although he has a kind heart, it is buried under layers of materialism.
Under Chargeshock's guidance, he begins to understand that "great responsibility" is not sold at the gift shop and begins to act less arrogant and more heroic. But he does still retain some of his original personality and enjoys his status as a celebrity; briefly prioritizing his schedule over an interdimensional conflict that might have destroyed his timeline. However, Jake Prime and Dr. Connors' influence would be effective on him, by rejecting the temptation of joinning the evil Jakes army, choosing instead fighting Eon and protecting Ladybug (or Mayhem Bug) when she needed him the most.
Powers and Abilities
Gold-Dust Electrokinesis: His electricity has a golden hue and is accompanied by spectacular visual effects (like fireworks). While powerful, he lacks Jake's discipline and precision.
Luxury Gadgets: He uses filming drones that aid him in combat and a variant of the Marmora Blade that looks like a fashion accessory, plated with diamonds.
Showmanship: His fighting style is more like breakdancing or music video choreography, being very unpredictable but sometimes ineffective.
Trivia
He named all his attacks after brands of energy drinks or clothes.
He considers Ashley from his universe a "personal assistant," rather than just a friend.
Chargeshock nicknamed him "Flash Kid", which really annoys him.
