Gabriela was born in São Paulo, Brazil, and spent her childhood surrounded by music and arts. When she turned fifteen, she discovered that her passion was acting and singing, so she decided to develop her talents in local musical theatre groups. Followed by that, she travelled to New York to perfect her English and to take a musical theatre course at the New York Film Academy. Back in São Paulo, she learnt fluent Spanish and received her professional Brazilian actors’ permit. Alongside her studies in Wolf Maya Acting School and in the University of São Paulo (studying a BA of Performing Arts in Theatre Interpretation), she appeared in many independent plays and singing acts in one of the biggest entertainment cities of South America. On 2016, after a short time in Los Angeles attending workshops at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Ivanna Chubbuck Studio, Gabriela starred in the International Emmy Nominated series “PSI” by HBO Latin America. Playing the lead role, Aurora Sampaio, in the first story of the third season conceded her an amazing reception from the media and the public. Now, she lives in London, where she graduated the post-graduate 1-year Course in Professional Acting from Drama Studio London, and just took part on the 12th Season of Doctor Who playing Jamila Velez on the episode called "Praxeus". The role marked the first appearance of a Brazilian actress in the series, what created great repercussion in her home country. Not only has she worked as an actor and singer, but her skills include song-writing, musical direction, vocal coaching, clowning and stage lighting.
