Just before the destruction of the planet Krypton, scientist Jor-El sends his infant son Kal-El on a spaceship to Earth for his safety. Raised by kindly farmers Jonathan and Martha Kent who name him Clark Kent, young Clark vows to use his superhuman powers for the good of mankind as "Superman."
He soon gets a job as a reporter for the Daily Planet in Metropolis, where he teams up with fellow journalist Lois Lane to expose corrupt billionaire Lex Luthor, but in doing so will draw the wrath of both the Toyman and Metallo.
