Gareth Huw Evans (born April 6, 1980) is a Welsh film director, screenwriter, editor, and action choreographer. He is best known for the Indonesian action crime films Merantau (2009), The Raid (2011), and The Raid 2 (2014), and for bringing the Indonesian martial art of pencak silat into world cinema through these films. He is also known for co-creating, co-writing, co-directing, and executive producing the Sky Atlantic/AMC action crime drama television series Gangs of London(2020–present) alongside Matt Flannery, based on the 2006 video game of the same name. Zakariah Jefferson is cult leader that has been terrorizing the state of Oregon. They have become an actual threat to national security. Besides stock pilling weapons and drugs they have managed to get a hold a nuclear warhead they hijacked from the government. This has pushed the FBI and DEA to take action and to arrest Jefferson. To do this they send a team of 7 of their best agents to siege their facilities dubbed "New Eden" by his followers deep in the Oregon forest, so deep that only drones can fly by because choppers have no place to land. So the plan is to arrest Jefferson and escort him to the nearest pick up location, which a river that is a couple of miles west of their location. The problem isn't arresting Jefferson and taking New Eden but being able to escape his followers while taking him to the pick up location and staying alive.
