In the year 2014, Japan's economic collapse spurred a mass exodus of its people to a sprawling refugee city where Asian communities converged in a struggle for survival. Among them were three orphan boys, Shin, Toshi, and Seiji, whose daily life relied on stealing to survive. During a botched robbery, Shin meets Ren, a youthful-looking man who reveals himself to be a vampire. Years pass, during which Shin navigates the treacherous dynamics of power and survival, but the worlds of Ren and Shin are on course for one last collision.
