Princess Allura (born on the planet Altea) is the last surviving member of the Altea royal family and the symbolic commander of Lion Castle. In the Chargeshock Thompson & the Justice Avengers series, she is an aristocratic and powerful figure, whose presence has tested the loyalties and patience of many members of the team, especially that of Sally and Linda.
Physical appearance
Allura has an ethereal and regal beauty. She has chocolate brown skin, bright pinkish-blue eyes, and the pointed ears characteristic of her breed. Her hair is long, silvery-white, often worn in complex hairstyles that accentuate her tall and graceful stature.
Her civilian attire consists of elegant dresses, inspired by the "Old Money" aesthetic combined with Altean accents, in shades of white, royal blue and gold.
Her paladin armor is a masterpiece of ancient engineering, highlighting its agility and ability to channel the mystical energy of pink-hued crystals.
Personality
Allura is dignified, authoritative, and sometimes perceived as arrogant due to her royal upbringing. She is used to leading and being obeyed, which has led to major conflicts with the independent personalities of the group. Although she is capable of great empathy, the trauma of losing her entire planet has caused her to erect high emotional walls, masking her pain under a mask of perfection.
Powers and Abilities
Altean Alchemy: Allura can manipulate the vital energy of the universe (Quintessence), being able to open portals or heal serious wounds.
Surprising Physical Strength: Although she appears fragile, she has physical strength superior to humans, being able to throw a Galra enemy across the room.
Telepathy with the Lions: She is the only one who can communicate deeply with the consciousness of the Voltron Lions without technological aid.
Relationships
Sally Gómez: The two had a disastrous start. Allura saw Sally as an "arrogant, temperamental, uneducated bfat," while Sally considered Allura a "boyfriend stealer" who thinks she's superior and has no idea about the real suffering on the streets. Their tension was the critical point of the early missions.
Keith Thompson: When Keith lost his memory, Allura's mystical charm attracted him, and he began to flirt shamelessly with her. This triggered the protective rage of Linda and created a rift between the Thompson brothers.
Lance McClain: For Lance, Allura is more than just a flirt. Although he bombards her with hook-up lines, deep down, Lance has a deep and sincere love for her, always feeling obligated to protect her and soothe her loneliness, even when she ignored him or rejected his advances.
Trivia
Allura loves the flowers on Earth, saying they remind her of the gardens of her father, King Alfor.
Although she bickered with Sally, she came to respect her military discipline after Sally saved her life in an ambush.
