First appeared in X-Men 2099 #1 in 1993 and was created by John Francis Moore and Ron Lim. Shakti Haddad is a founding member of the X-Men of 2099 and X-Nation. She was the daughter of wealthy Indian businessman Zail Haddad. Due to the activities of her father, she left India and joined Xi’an Chi Xan’s X-Men.
