Jean-Christophe BeckΒ (born 1968) is a Canadian television and film score composer. He is best known for his collaborations withΒ DisneyΒ and its subsidiaries, which include composing the soundtracks ofΒ The MuppetsΒ (2011) andΒ Muppets Most WantedΒ (2014),Β FrozenΒ (2013) andΒ Frozen 2 (2019), theΒ Marvel Cinematic UniverseΒ filmsΒ Ant-ManΒ (2015),Β Ant-Man and the WaspΒ (2018), andΒ Ant-Man and the Wasp: QuantumaniaΒ (2023) as well as theΒ TV miniseriesΒ WandaVisionΒ (2021),Β HawkeyeΒ (2021), andΒ Agatha All AlongΒ (2024) forΒ Marvel Studios, andΒ Free GuyΒ (2021) forΒ 20th Century Studios, as well asΒ Disney's 100th anniversary logo.Β
He composed the scores for several ofΒ Shawn Levy's films, includingΒ Big Fat LiarΒ (2002),Β Just MarriedΒ (2003),Β Cheaper by the DozenΒ (2003),Β The Pink PantherΒ (2006),Β The InternshipΒ (2013), andΒ Free GuyΒ (2021). Notably, he won anΒ Emmy Award in 1998 for his work on the television seriesΒ Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He is also known for composing the scores of the film seriesΒ The HangoverΒ (2009-2013). He is the older brother of composer, pianist and rapperΒ Chilly Gonzales.
