Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani (2012 Hollywood)
Raja Shivaji
Border 2
Toaster
A sentient toaster awakens in a suburban kitchen with no memory of its creation, desperate to understand its purpose and place in the world. As it observes the family living around it—a burnt-out father, an overwhelmed mother, and their rebellious teenage daughter—the toaster becomes an unlikely confidant and catalyst for change. Through witty internal monologues and increasingly absurd attempts to connect with its human companions, the toaster grapples with existential questions about consciousness, belonging, and what it truly means to be useful. When a corporate manufacturer threatens to recall it, the family must decide whether to fight for their quirky appliance or let it go. A darkly comedic meditation on identity and connection wrapped in the most mundane of premises.
