One day, the academy is attacked by Lars von Retriever, a music comedy creator of YouTube, who has returned to capture all the ninja students. Gregory, Kunimitsu, Ryu Hayabusa, Kasumi Mishima, and Yoshimitsu are the only three remaining students, and along with Sensei, who has been transformed into a chicken by Lars, and his son Gregory, retreat into the underground Sultan Ops. There, the three are given Wind Morphers, which allow them to transform into Power Rangers Ninja Storm and protect the city of Sendai from Lars von Retriever's forces.

Angered by his step boyfriend's behavior, Manon decides to leave on a short business trip to earn enough money to allow him to take Melony somewhere where she will be safe from Ryuji's abuse.
