Shadows of Secret Societies
Most Assassin's Creed games are open-world action-adventure titles where players engage in both stealth-based infiltration and direct combat. The central narrative revolves around the ongoing war between the Assassins, who fight for freedom, and the Templars, who seek to control humanity through order. The fan-made lore could be used to explore the Assassin-Templar conflict in more contemporary settings, a part of the story that is already present but could be more central to a game's main focus. This implies the concept would involve a narrative focused on underground networks, organized crime, and perhaps even a metaphorical "clone" of an existing criminal game like Grand Theft Auto but applied to the Assassin's Creed universe. This suggests an Assassin's Creed game that adopts elements of Grand Theft Auto's gameplay loop—perhaps a vast, interactive open world with a focus on player freedom and interaction with a criminal underworld—but within the Assassin's Creed lore and conflict is often shown in the modern day through Abstergo Worldwide. The Assassin’s Creed franchise will feature a "criminal underworld clone" in the vein of Grand Theft Auto that involves playing as members of a secret order, the Assassins, who operate outside the law, the Templars, but for a greater cause than simple criminal activity. Any spin-offs or prequels follow the same core principles of historical or present day settings and the conflict between the secret societies.

The Modern-day Assassin-Templar conflict to blend Grand Theft Auto
Ubisoft may be developing a modern-day Assassin's Creed game focusing on the conflict between Assassins and Templars in a world with numerous cities, potentially inspired by the open-world gameplay of Grand Theft Auto and likely to set in the present or near future, featuring a contemporary Assassin's Creed narrative. This could involve the conflict between the Assassins and Templars along with Abstergo, but within a modern-day setting with its own unique challenges and opportunities would feature numerous cities from around the globe, each with its own distinct characters, lore, and gameplay opportunities. This would allow for diverse environments and a broader scope for the Assassin's Creed story. Integrating vehicles, a common element in GTA, would require balancing it with the Assassin's Creed focus on stealth and hand-to-hand combat as well as climbing would be more challenging in a modern city with glass skyscrapers and other obstacles. The focus might shift to using urban elements like bridges, tunnels, and transportation systems for traversal and would need to incorporate new methods beyond traditional climbing, such as using electronic devices to spy on targets, blending in with crowds, or utilizing urban infrastructure for cover. .
