After studying at theΒ Drama Centre London, Fassbender made his feature film debut inΒ 300 (2006). Early roles include theΒ HBOΒ miniseriesΒ Band of BrothersΒ (2001) and theΒ Sky OneΒ fantasy dramaΒ HexΒ (2004β2005). He first came to prominence playingΒ Bobby SandsΒ in the dramaΒ HungerΒ (2008). Subsequent roles include the 2009 filmsΒ Fish TankΒ andΒ Inglourious Basterds, and the 2011 filmsΒ Jane EyreΒ andΒ A Dangerous Method.
