Smithy the Lion is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. He is an anthropomorphic lion and is both the crafter and the unofficial leader of the Diamond Cutters. He was betrayed by their infiltrator Mimic and was killed by the Shadow Androids.
