Humans went 1 way in evolution to become 1 species/race while Neanderthals went 5 ways in evolution to become 5 distinct species/races. Zombies are one of the five descendant species of Neanderthals. They were born to the seed of the element goddess of disaster only known as Apocalypse. Apocalypse is the queen of the zombie race/species and has been since the birth of the race/species. The upcoming stories are those which are the origins of one of the many creations of Apocalypse which will also explain why zombies are just as powerful as an immortal itself.
