Ed Stoppard is an English actor and the son of playwright Tom Stoppard. He has appeared in films such as The Pianist, Joy Division, and Brave New World, and in TV shows such as The Politician's Husband and Knightfall.
Zauriel was a guardian angel until he fell in love with a human and he was cast out of Heaven for trying to be with her. As well as learning the plans of a second rebellion against God. He is now doomed to walk the Earth as a mortal while the leader of the planned rebellion, Asmodel, and his forces try to hunt him down and kill him.
