S1E4: Darkest Desires On a warm Fourth of July night in Happy Harbor, Maine, the Young Justice program had planned a secret night out. With the combined efforts of Aurora and Ethan, the duo found a way out of Mount Justice to celebrate the night. As the six rebellious teens enjoyed a night of freedom and fireworks on the beach, they found themselves questioning what would stop them from escaping now and not looking back. The six sat by a campfire and shared their greatest desires for their futures. Aurora hoped to find another way to make her parents proud without being a criminal, maybe the Young Justice program was the way to do it. Leo wanted to use his curse for something other than her mother's manipulative quest for revenge. Ethan wanted to impress his father but more importantly, he wanted to impress Batman and earn a hero's respect. Vathos' desire was not as benevolent. He hoped to rule Atlantis and kill whoever got in his way. Mara shared her desire to make a name for herself outside of her parents shadows. April smiled as she expressed that her desire had already been met, she had found friends...a family. She had everything she ever wanted. In a smiling silence, all six teens returned to Mount Justice and abandoned their chance to escape. They were exactly where they wanted to be.
