An alternate Earth, where things are not as they are on Earth-96. Kel-El was sent away from her home-world of Krypton only minutes before its destruction by her father, who hoped she would escape the destruction and live a good life. She landed on planet Earth in the fields of Smsllville, Kansas, and was adopted by the Lane family, being given the name Lois. Years later, now an adult, she works as a reporter for the Daily Planet of Metropolis, but due to her Kryptonian origins, also has incredible superpowers she uses to help people and stop evil as the Superwoman.
