Set 16 yrs. after the events of Superman Returns, Superman meets the Keyblade wielder Atem and his friends and must deal with his teenage son Jason White Kent now posing as a high school student and as the teenaged superhero, Superboy. Maleficent and Pete teams up with Superman's sworm enemy, Lex Luthor and his girlfriend/assistant Kitty Kowalski, while the current leader of Janja's Clan, Kai teams up with Brainiac and Metalio (who was the bank robber who shot Superman in the eye around the middle of the first film would turn out to be John Corben) to destory the Man of Steel
