Mawingu is a martial eagle, and the keenest of sight in Kijani's Lion Guard. He is a little shy and usually prefers to stay above the action, but he is friendly and well-mannered, and is a good calming presence of the team. His arc revolves around the idea that its good to spend time alone, but what's important is being there for your friends when they need you, and allowing them to be there for you. Like Ono, his catchphrase is Hapana! means Oh, no! in Swahili. Other catchphrases that Mawingu use include: "Affirmative", "Indeed", "Wait a tick" and "Common knowledge, really". throughout the entire film.
