She began acting at age five, with her debut credited role being a recurring role in the 2016 television series Love as Nina, and her first feature film being in 2018's Ready Player One. In 2019, she was nominated for an OFTA Television Award for Best Ensemble in a Motion Picture or Limited Series for The Haunting of Hill House. Barry and Phoebe meet in college, both 17 years old. Love blossoms between them, they spend every moment with each other. Eventually they decide to spend the night together. After a few months, Phoebe becomes increasingly unwell. She goes to the doctor. It turns out that she is pregnant. For both her and Barry this comes as a shock. Phoebe's parents forbid her from seeing Barry. Phoebe asks her boyfriend for help and support in spite of this, but he refuses to take responsibility and breaks off contact with her. Barry in order to forget the incident decides to focus on work, Phoebe gives birth to a daughter whom she gives up for adoption. The two never marry after the incident. 30 years pass, Barry is now 47, and neither work nor any pleasures have drowned out his remorse. He decides to find Phoebe and their daughter to repair the relationship. He doesn't know that his ex-girlfriend gave the girl to an orphanage. When he finds Phoebe he has a frank conversation with her and is surprised that she has no contact with their child. The two decide to find the now 30-year-old Rooney(that's what Phoebe called her) who, as it turns out later, has grown into a confident but lonely and closed-off outsider. Nevertheless, they will do their best to bond with her.
