In the Flashpoint Timeline, Julio Mendez was a captain in the Central City Police Department and superior of Joe West and Barry Allen, who evacuated civilians during a battle between the Flash (Wally West) and the Rival. In the post-Flashpoint Timeline, Julio Mendez was a lounge singer, who was killed by Clive Yorkin, who sought revenge against all of the police officers who had arrested him in the Flashpoint Timeline.
