Megan Parry is Howl's bitter sister. She and her husband Gareth have two children, Neil and Mari. They live in Wales in our world. She has dark hair and eyes and is high strung by nature with a tendency to subject people - especially Howl - to swinging tirades of complaint and criticism. Howl says she's jealous of him "because she's respectable and I'm not", but she clearly has very prim notions and resents Howl's rather bohemian take on life, finding it humiliating. Megan hints strongly that her husband and Howl get on very badly indeed - presumably he shares her uptight attitude.
