In the "Woody's Roundup" album, the lyrics of the "Jessie" song says, "I was born in Oklahoma in the rolling Osage hills." So I thought maybe Jessie could be diverse by being an Osage Native American. She and her family moved to California when she was 5, where a talent agent heard her yodeling and offered her fame. The one thing that was great about having her own show was by interacting with real animals, being the animal lover that she is. But her show got cancelled after reaching adolescence. Her mother died ill and Jessie wants to help her father, and the best job she could get was a lounge singer at the saloon.
