This has enraged the envious CEO Veronica Cale, who has a profound loathing for Wonder Woman. To combat this, she hires Giganta to kill the Amazonian. However, once she is imprisoned on the island of Themyscira, Wonder Woman ends up finding herself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits her against a brainwashed Martian Manhunter. In her quest for survival, Diana finds herself racing against time to halt the invincible Artemis of Bana-Mighdall from wreaking havoc on her world and the Themysciran culture.
