more or less the same story as what was given to us by Patty Jenkins but with the ending altered to not include a big dumb monster fight. Wonder Woman is a near perfect film that stumbles at the finish line. in place of the original ending, it is revealed to Diana and the audience that Ares has no physical form yet or even power over the humans to engage in war, and he merely grows stronger to gain a physical form as humanity engages in more war and violence. the films climax will instead follow Diana and her friends as they engage in an air battle to attempt to rescue Steve, which again ultimately ends in his heroic sacrifice. rather than rescue Steve, Diana rescues Dr. Poison, who is a sympathetic villain this time, a brilliant chemist who was forced to do evil as it was the only way for her to do her life saving chemistry research in an oppressive society without women’s rights. the mid credits scene will show us wonder woman fighting crime in the modern day, fighting and capturing Giganta, for use later in our suicide squad film.
