Jaimie Alexander (born March 12, 1984) is an American actress known for portraying Jessi on the TV series Kyle XY and Sif in the 2011 superhero film Thor, it's 2013 sequel, Thor: The Dark World, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.. Since 2015 she stars in the NBC series Blindspot. Jaimie Alexander was born in Greenville, South Carolina, and moved to Grapevine, Texas when she was four years old. She is the only girl in a family of five children. Alexander first got into acting in grade school, where she took theater for fun. Alexander stated that she was actually kicked out of theater when she was in high school because she could not sing, so she instead went into sports. When she was 17, she substituted for a friend at a meeting with a scouting agency and she met her manager, Randy James, who sent her some scripts. After her graduation from Colleyville Heritage High School, a year and a half later, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Decades in the past, when she was a child, Diana grew up on the Island of Themyscira. The mighty amazons, an all-female warrior clan, lived there secretly and secluded. she watches the warriors training on the field under General Antiope. Diana wants to be a fighter like the rest of the amazons, but her mother, Queen Hippolyta forbids her daughter from training. Hippolyta tells Diana that Zeus made the humans with a good nature. However, Ares, the God of War, corrupted them. Humans were filled with suspicion and jealousy. They were constantly at war. The other gods tried to stop Ares, but he killed them one by one. Zeus also struggled until, with his last strength, he hit ares so hard that "he was forced to retreat". Later, Zeus forged a weapon that can destroy Ares. with Zeus's dying breath he created the secluded home for the amazons named Themyscira, with an enchanted barrier to hide them from the rest of the world. Diana wants to see the great weapon so later, Hippolyta shows Diana the powerful sword known as the God Killer. she explains that it can kill the God Ares, but Hippolyta hopes that there will never be a need to wield it.
