Wonder Woman follows Diana Prince, the Amazon ambassador to the United Nations, as she balances her responsibilities as a diplomat, humanitarian, and superhero. After rescuing a mysterious young woman named Donna Troy from the sorceress Circe, Diana invokes an ancient Amazon oath called the Hecatea, binding herself to protect Donna. As Diana investigates Donna's strange past, she discovers that Donna is actually Troia, a second clay-born champion created by the Titans to oppose the gods. When Zeus learns that Donna killed Hercules, he kidnaps her and intends to execute her, forcing Diana and Circe into an uneasy alliance to rescue her. Their journey takes them through the world of Greek mythology, where Diana's belief in compassion is repeatedly tested. After escaping the Labyrinth and realizing that kindness has changed even the monsters she once feared, Diana reaches Olympus and refuses Zeus's offer to release her from the Hecatea in exchange for abandoning Donna. Freed from the oath, Diana chooses to protect Donna anyway, proving that her compassion comes from her own convictions rather than obligation. Together, Diana and Donna stand against Zeus, while Circe restores Donna's memories and helps her embrace her identity as Troia. Although Zeus cannot be defeated through strength, Diana's unwavering compassion forces him to end his pursuit of Donna. With the crisis over, Donna remains with Diana, the reformed Minotaur becomes the embassy's chef, and the sisters begin a new chapter together. However, Ares soon appears and reveals that he secretly manipulated the conflict, warning Diana that a much greater battle is coming.
