The Olympian council, reconstituted after the events of Film III, makes Diana a formal offer: full ascension to divine status, a seat among the gods, and permanent return to Themyscira. It is everything she was offered when she first left the island and refused. Hippolyta, alive and present for the first time in the modern era, has come in person to ask her. Diana has twenty-four hours to decide. In those twenty-four hours, three things happen simultaneously: a global infrastructure attack of supernatural origin — traced to a mortal cult that has been weaponising abandoned divine power since the gods withdrew — reaches its critical phase and requires Diana's response; Callum Reyes is caught in the attack zone; and Erion reappears, not as an enemy but as the only being who can help Diana stop the cult, at a cost Erion names plainly. The film is structured as a single day. By the end of it, Diana makes the choice that defines the next chapter of her story. The choice is not the one the audience expects.
