Diana, Princess of Themyscira, lives in peace on her hidden island, training as a warrior under her mother, Queen Hippolyta, and her aunt, General Antiope. This serenity is shattered when American pilot Steve Trevor crash-lands on the island, bringing news of a world war beyond their shores. Diana learns that Ares, the God of War, is manipulating global leaders, igniting mass destruction to restore the gods’ power. Despite her mother’s warnings to remain hidden, Diana feels a growing sense of responsibility and leaves Themyscira with Steve, venturing into the modern world. She faces the horrors of war firsthand, realizing that stopping Ares could save humanity. Alongside Steve and a band of soldiers, Diana uncovers Ares’ plot to escalate the war through chaos and fear. In a climactic battle, she confronts and defeats him. Through this victory, Diana understands that while Ares can sow conflict, humanity ultimately holds the power to choose between war and peace. Returning to Themyscira, Diana receives a vision of an even greater threat. Post-Credits: Diana receives a package. Inside is a photo of her and Steve Trevor from their time during the war. On the back, written in Bruce Wayne’s handwriting, is a message: “I thought you might want this back. We need to talk.”
