Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen (born July 3, 1965) is a Danish actress. She began her acting career working alongside her mother on the local revue and variety scene. At 18, she traveled to Paris, where she worked as an actress and model, which led to further work. She has starred as Lucilla in the films Gladiator (2000) and Gladiator II (2024) and as Queen Hippolyta in the DC Extended Universe. Nielsen is fluent in her native Danish, English, French, German, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.

The Amazons, created by the gods to protect mankind, live in secret on Themyscira. Diana, daughter of Queen Hippolyta, is trained in secret by General Antiope. During the chaos, Steve sacrifices himself to destroy the gas plane, after telling Diana he loves her and to stay hidden after the war. Fueled by grief and love, Diana unlocks her full power and defeats Ares in a climactic battle. With the war over, she vanishes from public view. Post Credits: In the present day, Diana steps out of a limo at a high-society event. As she moves through the crowd, she bumps into a man. He smiles, offers his hand, and says, “Bruce Wayne.”
