Diana impresses the island with her archery skills but gets injured by a mysterious dead tree's snake bite while observing it. After being treated, Kasia tells Diana that she believes it's a sign from the gods. While gazing at the stars, Diana notices something fiery approaching. On the beach lies an Argus plane. All passengers are dead except for Steve Trevor. Diana wins a championship organized by her mother. The prize: to accompany Steve Trevor to his world. Diana embarks on an adventure in the world of men with her lasso and tiara. Upon arriving in the US, Diana struggles to understand others and vice versa. Etta Candy then brings in Barbara Ann Minerva, an Amazon expert. At night, the gods visit Diana, granting her powers. Barbara informs Diana about the existence of the terrorist group Sear, meaning Ares. Meanwhile, the Cuban Missile Crisis unfolds. JFK and Amanda Waller see Diana's existence as a perfect weapon to use against the Soviets. Trevor refuses, but Waller insists. Ares goes to Hell, where he negotiates with Hades and Lucifer for the release of his army. The final battle of the film takes place in Cuba and pits Wonder Woman against Ares. Diana defeats the god with the sacrifice of Steve and prevents the Cuban Crisis from escalating into a third world war.
