After leaving the island of Themyscira, Diana Prince and Steve Trevor face off against the sorceress Circe, who was using her magic to interfere in the First World War. Diana manages to imprison Circe in a temple in South America, but Trevor dies in the midst of the battle. 105 years later, archaeologist and Diana's old friend Barbara Minerva finds Circe's grave and frees her. In return, Circe fulfills Minerva's wish to become a "predator". Diana will have to fight to defeat Circe and Minerva.
