Vanessa lost her father at a young age and growing up she always felt like an outsider and struggled with abandonment issues,  when she met Wonder Woman for the first time she was initially jealous but overtime she became close with Diana and idealized her,  but as Diana visited less and less she started to feel abandoned by Diana, meanwhile she's been having constant nightmares and has been struggling with her mind.
