Edgar was a psychologist obsessed with telepathy after years of research he managed to achieve tons of psionic powers including to being able to mind control, he has immense hatred towards women due to his troubled past with them and conjures up a plan to mentally destroy and be rid of Wonder Woman, he takes advantage of Diana being distant from Vanessa and Vanessa's growing resentment towards Wonder Woman, giving her nightmares and slowly distorting her mind making her easier to manipulate when his grand plan is in motion.
