After engaging in crime-fighting for a considerable period, Donna Troy grows weary of living in Wonder Woman's shadow, despite her efforts to establish her own identity. Concurrently, she begins to investigate Paula Von Gunther, who aspires to instigate a Fourth Reich and seize control of America. Donna believes that this endeavour could elevate her status beyond merely being Wonder Woman's sidekick. During her investigation, she forms a friendship with a young girl who may assist her in ways she had not anticipated.
