Zachary Levi Pugh (/ˈzækəri ˈliːvaɪ/; born September 29, 1980) is an American actor, comedian, and singer. He received critical acclaim for starring as Chuck Bartowski in the series Chuck, and as the title character in Shazam! and its 2022 sequel, as a part of the DC Extended Universe. He voiced Eugene Fitzherbert in the 2010 animated film Tangled, where he performed "I See the Light" with Mandy Moore; the song won a Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. He reprised the voice role in the 2012 short film Tangled Ever After and in 2017, Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure, a Disney Channel television series based on the film. He has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok as Fandral. Levi starred as Georg Nowack in the 2016 Broadway revival of She Loves Me opposite Laura Benanti, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. Wolverine Origins is a 2009 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics fictional character Wolverine. It is the third installment of the MCU film series and the first installment of the Wolverine trilogy within the series. The film was directed by Gavin Hood, written by David Benioff and Skip Woods, and produced by Sam Worthington, who stars as the titular character, alongside Nathalie Emmanuel, Milo Gibson, Bill Nighy, Dominic Monaghan, and Zachary Levi. The film's plot details Wolverine's childhood as James Howlett, his time with Major William Stryker's Team X, the bonding of Wolverine's skeleton with the indestructible metal adamantium during the Weapon X program, his relationship with Ororo Munro and his relationship with his half-brother Victor Creed. Wolverine Origins was released on May 1, 2009, by 20th Century Fox. The film was praised for its story, script, visual effects, performances of Worthington and Emmanuel and score. The film opened at the top of the North American box office and grossed $179 million in the United States and Canada and over $373 million worldwide. A second film, The Wolverine, was released in 2013 and a third film, Logan, was released in 2017.
