Set in the mid-2000s, Jimmy Hudson has spent years hiding from the truth about his origins. Raised by James and Heather Hudson, Jimmy knows he is different but has never understood why his body heals faster than normal or why strange claws emerge when he is threatened. After his adoptive parents reveal pieces of his past, Jimmy discovers that he is connected to a legendary mutant warrior who walked away from the world long ago: Logan, the original Wolverine. Searching for answers, Jimmy travels to Madripoor, a lawless island controlled by criminal empires, secret organizations, and dangerous mutant factions. There he encounters Graydon Creed, his cousin and fellow mutant whose hatred toward Jimmy grows into a personal rivalry. Meanwhile, William Stryker and a network of mutant hunters begin experimenting on enhanced individuals to create the next generation of weapons. Jimmy must decide whether he will become another weapon or become a hero. The Wolverine legacy continues.
