Ellen Chenoweth is an American casting director. For her second film, Barry Levinson's Diner, she cast many then relatively unknown actors including Steve Guttenberg, Daniel Stern, Mickey Rourke, Kevin Bacon, Tim Daly, Paul Reiser, and Ellen Barkin. A year later, she helped cast the film Terms of Endearment. In the late 1970s, Chenoweth was an office manager for the Actors Studio. She helped discover an unknown theater actor named Mickey Rourke for the 1980 television film City in Fear. In the 1980s, Chenoweth was the casting director for The Natural, Down and Out in Beverly Hills, Ruthless People, and Broadcast News. She was also the casting director for O Brother, Where Art Thou?, Good Night, and Good Luck, No Country for Old Men, Doubt, Michael Clayton, True Grit, Burn After Reading, Men in Black 3, Bugsy and The Bourne Legacy. While wandering about in the Yukon wilderness, Logan stumbles upon a small rural town, where he shores up in the Durand family farm at the request of the Durand's youngest boy, James. When Roxxon threatens to forcefully remove members of the town so they can have the land for "green energy research" Logan feels called to stand up to them to protect his newfound friends, all while dealing with the traumas of his time with the Weapon X program. Will Logan succumb to his past mistakes, or will he learn to forgive himself just enough to move forward and save the town? Inspired by Jack Shaefer's western novel "Shane", Wolverine: Guilt is a Wolverine Story that takes cues from Westerns across every age and subgenre. From the Eastwood anti-heroes of Spaghetti westerns, to the gritty philosophy of the neo-western, this story sees Logan resolve not to be defined by a past he regrets but cannot change, and instead forge a path forward towards heroism. While not an outright hero by the end of the story, this is a pivotal step towards his journey towards becoming an X-Man.
