Thomas "Tom" Payne (born December 21, 1982 in Chelmsford, Essex) is a British actor. He is known for the role of Paul "Jesus" Rovia in the television series The Walking Dead. Currently he can be seen in the role of Malcolm Bright in the series Prodigal Son. Payne grew up in Bath, Somerset, in western England. He trained at London's Central School of Speech and Drama, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2005. During his training, he gained his first experience in plays such as Class Enemy, The Balcony, The Rivals, Three Sisters, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Richard III, and The Man Who Had All the Luck. After graduating, he landed his first leading role in London's West End production of Journey's End. He appeared alongside Imogen Stubbs in Maria Aberg's production of Shrieks of Laughter at the Soho Theatre. After his first television roles in series such as Skins - Hautnah or Casualty, in 2007 he obtained the role of Brett Aspinall in two seasons of the series Waterloo Road. In 2008, he made his feature film debut alongside Frances McDormand and Amy Adams in Miss Pettigrew's Big Day. From 2011 to 2012, he appeared in the television series Luck as Leon Micheaux. In 2013, Payne took his first leading role in The Medicus, the film adaptation of the novel of the same name by Noah Gordon. His brother Will Payne is also active as an actor.

When Alexander Summers is outed as a mutant by his friends, his family disowns him, and is fired from his job. Meanwhile Logan and Mystique go their separate ways and Logan leaves. Logan wanders alone for several weeks and ends up running into a teenager named Kurt Wagner who had to leave his home when people found out he is a mutant. Logan and Kurt end up becoming close friends meanwhile Scott Summers has been focused a lot on missions and finding Magneto but when Charles Xavier tells him to stop Scott gets mad and Charles suspends Scott from missions and tells him to get some rest. Scott then leaves the mansion and goes out to find Magneto himself. Meanwhile Logan and Kurt have just arrived at an old tavern where they find a mutant named Bishop who can give them a room to stay in but just then Scott enters the tavern and sees Logan. Scott tries to fight Logan, but Bishop stops him and Logan tells Scott to sit down. Scott and Logan end up talking about everything and realize that they can't keep this fight going. Bishop turns the tv on to see on the new a mutant named Alexander Summers has been destroying buildings and losing his mind and so the four of them get ready to go stop him. Once they get to the city they try and talk to Alexander, but he just keeps destroying things and gets ready to release a huge blast but Logan grabs him and absorbs the impact of the blast. The movie ends with Alex being sent to an I.M.C facility but Scott, Kurt Bishop, and Logan break him out.
