Haunted by a fragmented past he can't fully recall, estranged nobleman Lawrence Talbot is summoned back to his family's fog-shrouded ancestral estate, Blackmoor, following the brutal and mysterious death of his brother. There, he is met by his cold, distant father, Sir John, and his brother's grieving fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, a woman whose search for answers mirrors his own. As Lawrence begins his own investigation into the strange occurrences plaguing the local village, he is viciously attacked in the woods by an unnatural creature. He survives, but the bite leaves him with more than just a physical scar; it awakens a dark, ancient curse that has long plagued his bloodline. As the full moon rises, Lawrence's wounds heal with impossible speed, and he undergoes a horrifying, agonizing transformation into a monstrous beast, leaving a trail of carnage in his wake. His violent actions attract the attention of the pragmatic Inspector Montford from Scotland Yard, who is determined to hunt down what he believes is a human killer. Caught between Montford's logical pursuit and the cryptic warnings of a traveling Romani woman named Maleva who understands the true nature of his affliction, Lawrence must race against time. He must confront the dark secrets of his family's past to break the curse before the beast within consumes him entirely, all while desperately trying to protect Gwen from the monster he is forced to become.
