Walden MacNair was a Dark Wizard and one of Lord Voldemort's Death Eaters, who fought in the First and Second Wizarding War. MacNair somehow survived the Battle of Hogwarts, and was presumably imprisoned back in Azkaban for his crimes committed as a Death Eater. He was still alive by the 2010s, and he provided long interviews at undisclosed locations to trainee Aurors working for the Statute of Secrecy Task Force who were trying to combat the Calamity, about his time working for Lord Voldemort.
