After leaving his hometown, Sam pursues wealth and prominence in the business world, achieving considerable financial success but discovering that material accomplishment brings neither fulfillment nor peace. Disillusioned by the corruption and emptiness he encounters in the pursuit of the American Dream, Sam embarks on a spiritual and philosophical quest, eventually finding purpose in unexpected places and relationships.
