An old man who lives in a rickety old house in the wild mountain area, hidden from proper society. He keeps goats, and dislikes human contact. As a young man, he murdered the man his wife ran away with, and spent 10 years in prison. He agrees to help Kenneth for a short while, and is the only lead to Ken’s whereabouts that Sutter allows to live, presumably for his bravery (holding a shotgun to Sutter’s face) and his very old age. Aged in his 80’s.
