Carbunkle Cartoons is a Canadian animation studio founded in 1987. Headed by Bob Jaques and Kelly Armstrong, Carbunkle is well known among the animation community as having some of the best animation outside of Disney since The Golden Age of Animation (like with TMS Entertainment, Richard Williams, Don Bluth, Studio Ghibli, Startoons and studios founded by Ex-TMS staff members like Disney Japan and Spectrum). Lately, Bob Jaques has left the company for Mercury Filmworks. There, he is a studio director. Bob Jaques is also credited as an animation director on Uncle Grandpa and SpongeBob SquarePants, as of the latter's tenth season premiere. Works produced by Carbunkle Cartoons: The Ren and Stimpy Show - The company's first work. They did several episodes during the Spumco era with Fil Cartoons, Lacewood Productions (another Canadian animation studio), Bon Art, Rough Draft and Kennedy Cartoons. The Baby Huey Show Locomotion - An animation channel was launched with idents of animation. Ned's Newt - An animated series, produced with other animation studios. Tales of Worm Paranoia - A short for the What a Cartoon Show, produced with Kennedy Cartoons. The Ripping Friends - Ink and paint was sent off to PiP Animation Services. NSPCC - A campaign animated with Passion Pictures and Espresso Animation with live-action. Ren And Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon - Likewise had ink and paint sent off to PiP. Also animated in collaboration with Big Star. The Haunted World of El Superbeasto - Also with Big Star.
