1917, France. Amid the endless mud and blood of the Western Front, 18-year-old Private Henry Whitmore clings to the only thing keeping him alive—letters from his sister, Eleanor, back home in England. Trapped in the horrors of trench warfare, Henry forms a close bond with Captain Elias Gray, a hardened officer who sees too much of his lost brother in the young soldier. As orders come down for an impossible charge against German artillery, Henry and his unit prepare for what is certain death. But the night before the attack, Henry writes his final letter to Eleanor, pouring out his fear, his love, and his hope that somehow, the world will remember him. The Power of Words: In a world where life is fleeting, letters become immortal. Brotherhood in War: The bond between soldiers transcends blood, time, and even death. Loss & Memory: Who tells your story when you're gone? As the dawn breaks, Henry and his battalion charge into No Man’s Land. Bullets rain, men fall, and Henry watches his friends die around him. As he nears the enemy line, he is mortally wounded but refuses to stop—his last thought is of Eleanor reading his letter.
