Jamie Delano's original run on John Constantine/Hellblazer after the character appeared as a supporting character in Alan Moore's Swamp Thing run. The run includes issues #1-#24 (1987/88 -1989), #28-#31 (1990), #33-#40 (1991), #84 (1994), and the first annual in 1989. This run introduced readers to supporting characters including Chas Chandler, Astra Logue, his parents Thomas and Mary, his sister Cheryl, former Newcastle Crew members Gary Lester, Sister Anne-Marie, Ritchie Simpson, and Emma, and Zed Martin, as well as villains including demons Agony and Ecstacy, Blathoxi, Mnemoth, Norfulthing, and Nergal, as well as his Damnation Army, the voodoo priest Papa Midnite, and the cult the Resurrection Crusade.

Which projects should inspire adaptations of these comics

There have been many reboots of Batman and Superman, although each adaptation is usually unique in its own way. In order to keep adaptations different from each other, as well as different enough from the comics (but of course, keeping things people like about the characters and storylines), which comics, movies (superhero and non-superhero; they can be other superheroes' movies), shows, novels, etc. should inspire an adaptation of a particular character or the comics of a franchise?
