Amazon MGM Studios, formerly Amazon Studios, is an American film and television production and distribution studio owned by Amazon launched in 2010. It took its current name in 2023, following its merger with MGM Holdings, which Amazon had acquired the year prior.
It has been confirmed that Warner Bros. Pictures has lost the rights to make a live-action film of the Akira manga, so here's my take on a list of which major studio or streaming service should buy the rights to Akira to make a live-action film of Katsuhiro Ōtomo's manga of the same name.
