Thomas "Tom" T. Anderson is a major character in Beavis and Butt-Head. He is an elderly man who lives near Beavis and Butt-Head. He has a wife named Marcie Anderson. Standing 6’3” and weighing 250 lbs., Tom is a veteran of both World War II and the Korean War (as well as the Vietnam War according to the Tom Anderson's War Story "Summer of Love"). He is usually seen either drinking beer or doing work with his tools. He is voiced by Mike Judge.
Tom is a frequent victim of Beavis and Butt-Head's antics. Because of the boys, Tom Anderson's lawn, his house, and even his reputation have been ruined continuously. The duo have been shown to cut down a tree that fell on his house, spray paint his pet dog, paint his pet cat's butt, take both his riding mower and steamroller on joyrides, inadvertently run him down with a war drone, steal his golf balls and later sell them back for a dollar, fill up his pre-dug pool with concrete (and later get themselves stuck in it), ruin his golf clubs, ruin his house's outside paint, steal his identity, and have caused him to be wrongfully arrested several times, (Beavis and Butt-Head Do America,"Ball Breakers", and "Locked Out"). In "Yard Sale", the duo take over for him at his yard sale and sell everything he owned, including a Purple Heart (evidence of his war heroism).
Anderson has been known to yell "What in the hell?!" and "Dammit!" when he gets angry, which appear to be his catchphrases.
